Welcome to our Chestnut Tree family-run, dog friendly café in the heart of the beautiful parish of South Staffordshire.
Set in a former potato store on our family farm, it is the brainchild of brother and sister Mike and Liz, and her husband Robbie.
The Chestnut Tree takes its name from the enormous ancient 400-year-old tree just outside.
Many a happy hour has been spent underneath the great tree making childhood memories last a lifetime. We hope you, too, will share some of its wonderful shade in summer months or shelter from the weather in the winter, or simply ponder the things it has seen in all those years.
Surviving a couple of lightning strikes (you can see the dead bark areas) its fame has been immortalised in the Guinness Book of Records back in the 80s for having the largest girth.
The café building is an old potato store and we invite you to relax and enjoy as we create good locally sourced (wherever possible) food and a warm welcome.
Enjoy – Mike Liz and Robbie
